Is it as we growing up, we are more conscious about self-protection?

why is it so hard for me to accept a new friend totally

seriously  I really dont like the feeling that when friend approach me suddenly

while i have no idea about their intention

 i don't know whether they just trying to be friendly or what

 i know this is bad, very bad 

but i really feel uncomfortable without knowing what they after

  

 

 my teddy got me a free boost
wondering how? boost is having a challenge campaign

challenge of the day : shows your teddy and claim a free boost

It has been long time since we last met

In my impression you are a daring girl

 seriously i really admire that you are so daring to cut short hair

it really suite you

 well, the daring is not only refer to the hair

you always brave enough after the things you want

 you tried your best in getting the life style you want

you express your feeling and thinking bravely

even though there are times that things do not go well

but you still able to stand up again =)

eating right after 1st performance
that is the reasons of why i gaining weight

my getting fair "project" was ultimately fail 

after the whole day exposure under SUPER HOT sun

i am getting darker

in better wording - tan

recently, a friend told me that I am good in comforting people

this is the first time people praise me in this

personally i think that i am bad in comforting people

and there are people told me that i am really bad in it

so actually quite surprise when i got the compliment

SAC 2012

Student Assessment Center (SAC) 2012

Organised by JPA and relevant Msian Government Department

Before I attend this seminar, I thought that it would be some boring talks

while I was totally wrong

the seminar was interesting and fun

It starts with 30mins of speech 

which focus on what are the options available after we graduate

Then the next session was mini game time + chicken dance
i guess everyone knows chicken dance right

It is then followed by group discussion and presentation
topic : what we would see in Msia in 2020

my group focus more on the social and environment issues

Oh yea, forgot to mention that we are required to use Bahasa

my malay is basically karat and lots joke came out during discussion

here it came the most interesting part of the seminar

we were given a senario where our country will be having a war

There is only 4 warriors to be chosen to send for war

who will be chosen

every person was assign a character

Suri Rumah Tangga, Pembuat Cincin, Momok, Posmen, Pengemis

Penjaga Zoo, Ahli Politik, Tukang Paip etc

( I am penjaga zoo)

we were asked to choose with supporting reasons.

it is so fun when people debating that they should be the one who go

Our group decision was
Momok, Posmen, Pembuat Cincin and Tukang Paip

Momok - knows magic and wont die
Posmen - knows geographical well and can send bomb

Pembuat cincin - familar with metal

Tukang Paip - destroy enemy's water system

Each group are presenting their decision and would be questioned by other group

there is one 经典 dialog

Students : We don't send pembuat cincin because when the warriors back, we would be able to give them the alat-alat kemas as the token of appreciation (smth like that)

Presenter : Apa yang kita nak? Kita nak freedom, bukan cincin
( with the fingers shaking showing the ring)

  

super funny with his tone

it is really funny, and the whole presentation was full of fun

different group have different ideas and the supporting reasons are kind of interesting as well

Before the lunch, we have another mini game session

buaya & biawak

loser of the game was asked to communicate in their " buaya/biawak" language

and explained what they were talking

Buaya are guys and their language was basically  "roar"

Girls are Biawak and using "shiiiiiiii"

So guys start the conversation first
"roarrrr...." with explanation

顿时全场爆笑

 basically, the whole session was full of laugh

After lunch, we were asked to do individual public speaking

3 minutes each person

okay, i did pretty bad in this session

anyway is a good experience =)

I left the seminar after the public speaking

because I got the rehearsal in the late noon

I really learn something in this seminar

Maybe nearby housing area = similar tuition class

First Australasian Conference of Undergraduate Research 2012 (ACUR 2012)

@ Macquarie University

This is my first time in joining academic conference,

 finally experience how conference looks like

well, I joined as volunteer  ( not so pro can be the presenter)

however, it is really an amazing and fruitful event.

Can learn lots thing from other discipline and some are really interesting! 

I chose medical science for first session 

 frankly speaking I have no idea what they are presenting

all the scientific and medical terms 

i only understand t-distribution, p-value and 95% confidence interval

if you learnt statistic before, then you would know what i am saying

For second session, I chose astronomy

well, the picture presented are beautiful and fantastic

even though doesn't really understand

Third session, I chose climate change

finally this is something i can understand

I like the presentation of water sedimentation tank design for rural community the most

she presents it in the way of simple and easy to understand

also, it's research would be possess great help to the local community

(She won the best research paper)

Some thought of the day: Different culture have different costume practice
Asians presenters are wearing formal attire (office wear with blazer)

Majority of local presenters are dressed in casual or smart casual

By the way, my application for PACE has been rejected. Disappointed. ='(

Rainy Day

Today after work, when i was walking towards the train station,

"Excuse me Miss” said by a lady behind
I turned back, she then told me that she need another $1.40 to buy train ticket

I looked at her and was thinking that did I have small change
it also came to mind that, if it is a fraud, I only lost $1.50
If it was truth, I should help her
Then I took out my purse and gave $1.50 to the lady

By the way, I read a joke today.

A blonde walked into a store to buy curtains.
She went up to the salesman and said, "I want those pink curtains to fit my computer screen."
The salesman mentioned, "Computers don't need curtains."
The blonde said, "Hellooo? I have Windows!"
